Banana Bread

Usually I’m against putting chocolate chips into banana bread that I make, but this time I just went for it. I added a small handful of mini chips–then decided to balance it out by adding 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseed. See? It all evens out.

Based on this recipe.


4 ripe bananas

1/3 cup melted butter

¾ cup sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp baking soda

pinch of salt

1½ cup flour

¼ cup mini chocolate chips

2-3 tbsp ground flaxseed

Set your oven to 350. Mix the butter, bananas and sugar. Add in the remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour batter into a loaf pan and bake 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.
