Butterfinger Ice Cream

July 12, 2012

I’ve said this before, but if you enjoy ice cream then you really need your own ice cream maker. (I have this one.) I truly enjoy searching for and making new flavors–and of course repeating the family favorites (vanilla bean and cookies & cream).

This Butterfinger ice cream rocks–you can’t go wrong when you combine ice cream and your favorite candy.

1 cup whole milk

2 cups heavy cream

¾ cup sugar

1 tsp vanilla

Butterfinger candy bars, chopped (your choice on the amount–I used about 7 mini bars)

Mix together the milk, sugar, cream and vanilla until the sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate for a few hours, or even overnight. Freeze the mixture in your ice cream maker, adding the crushed candy during the last few minutes of mixing.
