Homemade Meatballs

My friend sent me this link for homemade meatballs, insisting I make them straight away–and boy am I glad that I did! The recipe calls for a mix of ground turkey and Italian turkey sausage. I had the meatballs formed in no time at all, then just brown them on all sides and let them simmer away with your sauce to finish cooking. There is a sauce recipe included in the recipe link, but I just used a large can of crushed tomatoes and basil. Cooking the sauce in the same pan as the meatballs gives it a nice flavor.

Next time I will make a double batch of the meatballs and freeze half for another dinner!
