Lemon Bars

I love citrus desserts and these lemon bars do not disappoint. You can find the recipe here (I followed it exactly except for the glaze topping, I simply dusted with powdered sugar). These are like a brownie (minus the chocolate, of course) because they are so soft and fudgy. Because the texture is similar to brownies, the original recipe source calls them “Lemonies.” You can throw this dessert together very quickly because there’s no shortbread crust on the bottom like a typical lemon bar–just pour the batter in your baking dish and you’re good to go. If you have Memorial Day plans, this would be a perfect dessert!
