Snickers Ice Cream

I think I’ve found an exception to my husband not eating sweets. It’s my homemade ice cream. Pretty much any flavor will do, but he especially likes this vanilla ice cream with crushed Snickers. I think I’ve made it 3 times in the last 2 weeks–it’s that good.


1 cup milk

¾ cup sugar

2 cups heavy cream

1 tsp vanilla

pinch of salt

2 Snickers candy bars, chopped (they’re easier to chop/less messy if you put them in the fridge for an hour before chopping)

Put all ingredients (except Snickers) in a blender and mix until smooth. Refrigerate for a couple of hours, then freeze in your ice cream maker. Add the chopped Snickers pieces in the last 5 minutes of churning.
